Seeking Hearts (7-12 year olds)

Our goal in this class is to give your child knowledge to grow deeper in their relationship with God. Through Bible stories, object lessons, and hands on activities to build their faith, your young child will be excited to come back week after week!

We also have some special focus Sundays with this group:

2nd Sunday of the month is Missionary Focus Sunday where we introduce the children to a missionary or a missions concept (for example missions sending organizations). We talk about the areas of the world that the focus missionary or organization works, the life of the missionary, and any special prayer needs for the focus missionary. We then pray for them.

3rd Sunday of the month is Ministry Team Sunday. The children from this group spend the last 30 minutes of the service on one of the following teams, learning ways to share the love of Jesus with the world. These groups will show the congregation at least once a year what they have been learning. The goal will also be to eventually share their ministry in the community.

• Encouragement Team – they pick a group each month that they will encourage with letters, cards, posters, or possibly even an act of service.
• Drama/Puppet Team – they are learning to use drama and puppets to share Jesus with others.
• Worship Dance Team – they are learning to use dance in their worship of the Lord.
• Worship Sign (language)Team – they are learning ASL signs to use while singing praise and worship songs during worship times.
